His portfolio of activities includes advisory roles with some of the top children's hospitals across the UK, children's health start-ups, venture capital and accelerator programs.
David has extensive experience building, leading and motivating teams over a 24+ year career with IBM. He is a skilled technologist, senior business leader, strategist, and creative thinker.
In 2014 my life was changed forever when my second child Oscar died very suddenly at the age of 16 months. In his memory my wife, Hannah, and I set up a children’s charity called Thinking of Oscar. The charity’s aim is to "bring the future of healthcare to children" by investing in technology and innovation to benefit children in hospital.
We have worked with many hospitals across the UK, funding new technologies that the NHS were unable to provide.
In 2020 we launched the 'Not Mini Adults Podcast - Pioneers for Children’s Healthcare and Wellbeing'. The purpose of the podcast is to educate, inspire and share the stories of individuals who are making a difference to the lives of children's health.

At the begining of 2023 I took the decision to leave IBM after a career lasting over 24 years in order to be able to concentrate on helping children's health organisations to bring much needed focus, finance and innovation to children and families in need. Please take a look at some of the services that I provide and get in touch if you would like to speak more about how I can help your organisation.
